We’re looking for an Apprentice e-Teacher to join our team!

Your role: to make a difference!

  • With the support of an experienced teacher, learn sign-making techniques;
  • Reading and interpreting shop drawings
  • Cut, weld, sandblast and bend various aluminum parts;
  • Apply adhesive material to a substrate (vinyl, etc.);
  • Assemble and mount components (including electrical components);
  • Assemble small products and apply lettering, wrapping, etc. ;
  • Support various departments to ensure continuity of production (cleaning and packaging of finished products)
  • Carry out a variety of plant tasks (e.g., assist operators of machinery such as cutting machines, rolling mills, etc.);
  • Perform all other related tasks;
  • Possibility of on-the-job progression with full in-house training.

We’re looking for a candidate with these requirements and skills:

  • 2 to 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment as a welder assembler or in a similar position,
  • Knowledge of signs and signage an asset.
  • Good manual skills and ability to use a variety of tools for drilling, welding, cutting, etc;
  • Ability to learn;
  • Ability to lift/pull/push loads up to 40 lbs;
  • Developed creative spirit;
  • Behave responsibly and safely at all times;
  • Be open-minded and eager to learn.

*NOTE*

You’ll have to take a 6-week paid training course at a Laval training center (Écoles des métiers spécialisés de Laval). You’ll be able to develop trade-related skills, learn about the industry as a whole, what’s involved in its production tasks and opportunities for advancement.
