As CAE’s Change Management Specialist, you will ensure that change initiatives achieve their objectives by increasing employee adoption and use. This strategic role involves aligning change initiatives with CAE’s overall objectives, ensuring that each change effort supports long-term goals and business priorities. You will develop and implement change management strategies to drive faster adoption, increased utilization and better control of changes impacting CAE employees. Your work will be essential in building a sustainable change management culture that strengthens CAE’s adaptability and resilience.
The role we offer :
Strategies and Planning for Change :

  • Develop change and transformation strategies based on information gathered from stakeholders and impact analysis.
  • Create detailed change management and stakeholder management plans, as well as communication plans, including resource estimates.
  • Assess the organizational and human risks associated with the implementation of new solutions, and draw up mitigation plans.
  • Assess readiness for change and potential impacts on the teams involved, proactively identifying and addressing risks.
  • Define success indicators, monitor progress and report results to continuously improve the effectiveness of change initiatives.
  • Oversee the integration of the training strategy into the overall change and transformation plan.

 

Implementing Change Activities :

  • Lead the implementation of change management activities and the creation of key deliverables (e.g. alignment, communication, stakeholder engagement, impact analysis and measurement) in accordance with the project plan and schedule.
  • Integrate change management strategies and activities into project plans, ensuring smooth adoption and readiness within CAE.
  • Manage and update the overall transformation plan, including training components, and provide regular updates as part of project governance.
  • Oversee the work of external partners to ensure methodological consistency and quality of deliverables, where appropriate.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement :

  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships at all management levels of the organization to foster organizational commitment and the adoption of new solutions through systematic, structured and integrated communications.
  • Provide advice and coaching to stakeholders on change management best practices to strengthen commitment.
  • Maintain regular communication with project stakeholders, promoting alignment between teams to ensure successful integration.

Evolution of Change and Methodological Development :

  • Contribute to the evolution of CAE’s change and transformation methodology by integrating industry best practices and lessons learned.
  • Support the long-term development of CAE’s change management practice by identifying areas for improvement and contributing to training and resource development.
  • Develop or refine tools, models and frameworks to strengthen CAE’s change management capabilities.

The enthusiast we’re looking for has:

  • Minimum of five to eight years’ experience in leading change and business transformation activities in complex global environments, particularly in the context of large-scale IT implementations.
  • Proven experience in managing change activities within complex programs or projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with partners at all levels of the organization, as well as with consultants, suppliers and customers.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, effective communication and adaptability in dynamic environments.
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills in French and English.
  • Excellent facilitation skills (large groups in complex contexts).
  • Forward-looking strategic mindset with a holistic vision of organizational transformation.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and familiarity with project management tools.
  • Excellent initiative and team spirit.
  • Available for occasional travel.
  • Fluency in English is required for this position, as it involves participation in meetings and projects with an international scope, as well as interactions with colleagues or customers located in other provinces or countries.

Preferred Education and Training :

  • University degree in change management, organizational development, industrial relations, human resources or any other related discipline.
  • Certification in change management will be considered an asset.
