Omniplast is currently looking for a press operator (flexography) for its printing department.
Viscosity, Pantone color, spectrophotometer, anilox… These words speak to you? Great! You’ve already qualified for the next stage :
If you come to us, here’s what you get:
- Salary between $25.19 and $27.53 (depending on experience)
- Evening premium ($2) and night premium ($3) when applicable
- Opportunity for advancement (for real)
- We’re located in Saint-Hubert (so it’s easy to get to by public transit!).
- Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. shifts
- Group insurance and pension plans (of course)
- And most importantly: With us, working is fun
Even if you know a thing or two about flexography, we’re still going to describe some of the tasks involved:
- Organize press set-ups to minimize downtime
- Ensure the supply of raw materials and complete the control document (scrap containers, cardboard tubes (core), wood pallets, inks, solvent, etc.).
- Review the file and ensure that all required inputs are available at the presses and that instructions are clear
- Carry out press start-up according to procedures, following the specifications requested in the production files and carrying out the adjustments and tests required in quality control.
- Seeking solutions to press technical difficulties
- Complete quality control documents and perform required laboratory tests on all rolls
- Repair minor mechanical breakdowns and report any anomalies to the supervisor and repair department
- Train and supervise operator assistants. Work as a team on all presses.
- Ensure compliance with plant and occupational health and safety regulations and standards
Of course, we do have a few requirements:
- Diploma in printing (this is a good asset, but if you have two years of relevant experience, such as in flexo printing, it works just as well!)
- Be able to detect color shades (in printing, this is important!)
- With us, it’s still a bit physical, so you need to be able to lift between 50 and 60 lbs.
- Available to work different shifts (day, evening and night)
- If you have a little mechanical knowledge, that’s definitely a plus!
For ease of reading, the masculine form is used throughout the text.
Job type: Permanent
Compensation: $25.19 to $27.53 per hour
